City planner and urban designer Jeff Speck, a leading expert on how communities around the country can become more livable, walkable and economically viable, suggested in his presentation at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center that by replacing traffic signals with stop signs on two-lane streets, traffic flow would increase and drivers, pedestrians and cyclists would be much safer.

Jeff Speck suggested opportunities exist to replace traffic lights with stop signs on West Main, Water and Market Streets. Are you in favor of this approach?
